Razorpay Launches Turbo UPI Plugin in Partnership with NPCI BHIM Services and Axis Bank

Fintech firm Razorpay has partnered with NPCI BHIM Services Ltd (NBSL) and Axis Bank to launch the Razorpay Turbo UPI plugin on the BHIM Vega platform.

This innovative solution enables businesses to provide a seamless in-app UPI payment experience, allowing customers to complete transactions instantly without being redirected to third-party applications.

“With BHIM Vega, Razorpay’s partner businesses can now accept in-app payments, enabling end customers to complete transactions within the app itself,” the company said in a statement. “This significantly reduces payment friction and delivers a faster, more efficient checkout experience.”

The partnership is designed to address common challenges in UPI-based payments by eliminating redirection steps, thereby enhancing transaction success rates and streamlining user onboarding.

“Our collaboration with BHIM to integrate Turbo UPI with BHIM Vega eliminates one of the biggest pain points in UPI transactions—redirections,” said Harshil Mathur, CEO and Co-founder of Razorpay.
